What sleep training methods do you use?

I believe there is no one size fits all approach. We would work out a gentle teaching method based on your parenting style, your situation and your child’s temperament.

What happens if my little one gets sick while working together?

Accepted Answer

If your little one becomes unwell while we are working together we would put your plan on hold. Waiting until your little one is all better.

Question 3

How long does it take to see results?

Accepted Answer

Usually within 2 weeks you will see a huge change. Generally you will see improvements in the first 3-5 days of starting. How long it takes can depend on many factors including the temperament of the baby/child’s age, method chosen, what the sleep goals were and what has ben tried in the past.

Will my baby cry?

Yes, your baby will cry in the beginning. Crying is a healthy and normal way for your child to communicate to you. Your baby is just letting you know that they feel frustrated. This is a normal reaction to change.  It can also depend on what temperament your baby has and which sleep technique we choose. I check in  regularly with you when working together so we can assess the crying as we go.

What age does my baby/toddler need to be?

I work with newborns to children 5 and under. I don’t ‘sleep train’ babies under 4-5 months. Instead, we implement healthy sleep habits, associations and I support you on implementing some gentle sleep routines.

Do you offer in home consultations?

Accepted Answer

Yes, I am based in Adelaide, South Australia and offer in home consultation within 20km of Brighton. I am happy to travel further but travel expenses will apply.

What can I expect?

When implementing change to your baby’s sleep habits it is very important that parents are 100% ready for this change. I recommend we have a quick chat to decide which package is appropriate for your circumstances. You will then receive a sleep questionnaire to fill out which provides me with more information prior to our consult.
